One of a kind, single vineyard, 2023, dry

Born out of pure curiosity.
This wine feels to us like the first deep breath after a long day, or the evening light falling through a window. A combination that felt simply right in this vintage, without the need for grand explanations.

And that is exactly how it tastes: like an endless sky on a winter’s day, light and free, somewhere between calm and that small, tingling spark that appears when something new begins.

The Saatzen vineyard is the foundation of this wine. Its gravel soil provides excellent drainage, allowing excess water to flow away quickly. The vines are encouraged to drive their roots deep into the ground, resulting in smaller, more aromatically concentrated berries. The gravel stores warmth during the day and slowly releases it at night, encouraging an even and ideal ripening.

Only in the 2023 vintage did we decide to vinify this wine separately, because it was such a beautifully balanced year for this vineyard.
